This will be a fairly quick review, nothing too indepth.

I liked the movie, it was pretty well done.  They had some good castings for the kids and Pennywise.  I think Pennywise was the character everybody was worried about when they cast the part, but Bill Skarsgård did a pretty decent job that I thought was right up there with Tim Curry’s depiction in the miniseries from the early nineties.  I try not compare the portrayals, but I will say that aspect of this adaptation was pretty well done.

Overall, the visuals and the tone were well done and captured the most basic elements of the story.  It was definitely a quality movie that told the first half of the story and set up the return to Derry when Chapter Two comes out.
